Why does the USA offer these schemes?

Congress created the EB-5 Program in 1990 to stimulate the US economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors.

First launched in 1990, it went quiet for a while but was resurrected in 2022, and improved.  There are minimum requirements for jobs created by the investment and schemes need to qualify and for specific criteria to be met. All are well regulated for minimal risk.

What does it cost?

The EB5 visa is an investment scheme and you have to invest in an approved scheme or development. All have been thoroughly researched.

As these are investments, as oppposed to buying a passport or visa, you will receive your money back in time. Some will repay the vast majority of the investment; others will repay all. Some after five years, one with an option after just three and a half years.

The upfront cost usually starts at $800,000 BUT some schemes offer borrowing of up to $300,000, so an investment of $500,000 AND you will receive the money back at the end of the term.*

The main US government requirement is for a minimum investment of $1,050,000 but this can be reduced to $800,00 (or $500,000 with the loan scheme) if located in specific targeted areas and that is what we focus on.

There are also some processing costs and legal fees but each person who is interested will be provided with a personalised cost schedule.

The application fees charged by the US Government wil increase on 1st April (no joke!) by some $8,000. Minor in the grand scale but why pay extra if you don’t need to.

What do you invest in?

There are different approved schemes that are available for a period of time.

Many are in property, usually multi-billion commercial developments that provide hundreds, if not thousands of jobs.

We currently have two options.

Property – a substantial development in New Jersey that will provide 1,723 fairly-priced apartments, many amenities, retail units and more. The construction of phase one started in June 2022 and is ahead of schedule  for completion in June 2026. All retail units have already been let to household names. Loan facility.

Water Recycling Project – this is in Texas and recycles polluted water from fracking. Deemed a green project as it recycles toxic wastewater from the oil industry.. No loan facility but you invest $800,000 into the project and receive a 5% fixed dividend with a buyout option after three and a half years. Total return will be more than the amount invested. This could be up to $1M.

This is the fourth offering of this scheme so we know it works and investors are happy. The schemes receives priority processing.

You could get US citizenship and still make a profit on your investment. A total win-win!

There are limited EB5 investment opportunities in each project so once all places have been filled it will be closed. We will offer alternatives in due course.

Any other US visa options?

If your goal is to live and work in the USA, we can also assist. We offer a full service for obtaining an EB3 visa.

This is a working visa so requires relocation to the US and you can take your family too. You are given a job without being tied in (with medical insurance) and everyone will qualify for this. There are no nationality restrictions.

This has a much lower prices as it gives you and your family permanent residency, so a “green card” rather than a US passport. You get permanent residency, and in the future, will be able to apply to citizenship. The cost starts at just $48,500.

 

Thie EB3 scheme is quick and you could get the initial approval in just a few weeks. Tens of  thousands of families have been through this programme and are now happily living in the USA.
